What to bring

As a minimum, we recommend you bring the following items:

  • Suitable rifle caliber for the intended hunt ** You can also rent a rifle, incl. ammo in camp **
  • Ammunition – minimum 50 bullets (if bringing your own firearms)
  • Bullet Belt
  • Binoculars (7-10 x magnification)
  • Pocket/hunting knife
  • Hunting boots (should be breathable and suitable for hiking in rocky terrain)
  • Socks (breathable and suitable for hiking)
  • Blister-gypsum
  • Hearing protection
  • Cap or hat
  • Warm jacket or overcoat (for cool nights / mornings)
  • 2 pairs of hunting pants
  • 2-3 pair of short-sleeved shirts
  • 2 long-sleeved shirts or sweaters
  • Short pants (for hunting / leisure)
  • Swimming shorts/suit (September to April)
  • Rain jacket
  • Sunscreen, moisturizer and lip balm
  • Tick spray containing deet
  • Medicine for personal use
  • Toiletries for personal use
  • Credit card and cash in USD $ or ZAR (Rand)
  • Camera/charger with an extra memory card
  • Sunglasses
